Macon Aero Modelers Safety News August 12, 2006

From:

Greg Doster

It has come to my attention that some of our members have neglected using the frequency board resulting in crashed aircraft. This has happened twice in the last couple of weeks.

Gentlemen, "IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE FREQUENCY PIN DO NOT TURN ON YOUR TRANSMITTER" NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE........

THIS RULE IS FOR YOUR SAFETY AND FOR THE SPECTATORS SAFETY.

Also please remember to do safety checks and range tests after any hard landings or any radio changes to ensure safe operation of your model. Fuel clunks can get lodged in the front of the fuel tank causing a dead stick landing (not too fun). Periodically check all servo and battery connections to ensure they are tight and oil/residue free. Make sure that battery pack is securely restrained inside aircraft and check prop and spinner for cracks or chipping and ensure that it is tight. This sport is only fun when no one gets hurt.
